There's a slight chance I might be able to come up over Veterans Day weekend. It really depends on if my unit has to participate in a pre-deployment excerise in December.

However, I have an opurtunity to hunt bear on one and possible two private leases.

Which would you do?

If it's a chance at coastal black bears, there's no question. Go for the bear. If mountain bears, I think I'd choose deer.

Thunder with all your posts it seems like I should know you. Where is home? How often do you get there and how about family. If my son in law bagged a bear hunt over coming home I shoot him next. (Air Force guy) Not to mention I bet a lot of posters would like a opportunity to meet you and share a hunt in Ohio. just my nickels worth.

I'm going for the bear. I can't afford to come home and Mom is coming out before I leave for Iraq so that box is checked.

I need the money for the down payment on my Dall Sheep hunt and my taxidermy bill for two caribou....:yikes:

Man Thunder, watch your ass over there and please make it home! I know it's your job and duty, but I will be so glad when all you soldiers can finally come the hell home! :irked:

Again, thank you and all of the Armed Forces for all you do for us at home and the world!
