For those of you that have your CCW, I was wondering if you carry an auto or a wheel gun. If you're considering it, which would you prefer?

I carry an auto. Springfield Armory XD-40 Compact. .40 cal. of course.

A very good question. :) 20 years ago, I would've never even considered carrying an auto, but technology as changed and they're more dependable now.

It's a tough choice with so many good autos on the market. :dizzy: However, a snub nosed 38 is hard to argue with for reliability. ;)

I don't have a CCW and will probably wait until they get all the "bugs" worked out....after the next election. :irked:

I carry autos. Mostly a compact .380 and if the wardrobe permits, a compact 9mm. I mostly carry the autos because of their compact size.

I carry a Kimber Compact CDP .45, 1911 and my wife (yes she got her CCW too) a S&W Model 60, 38.
