Actually I've shot a 142" gross 9 point with a gun in 2003.
Opening morning of bow last year I shot a 14 point that was really a medium main frame 9 point with quadruple brow tines on the left side with a couple extra kickers.
my biggest so far is a 155 2/8 13 pointer i got last season that had a live weight around 300 pounds.got him with a crossbow. also have a 147 3/8 10 pointer and 3 smaller bucks.

Your not going to find a better cut of deer than a young button head or doe.
However my heart has warmed a little this year and I'll probably pass on the lil guys.

No gutting. To be honest when I started caping him he didn't stink at all. I don't think he had been dead, but a few hours.
However, I wasn't willing to risk it either.

I've killed two 200# does in the past. The last one was in 2004. She dressed out at 174# and we got that kill shot on video.
My biggest buck was about a 230# 8 pointer in January 1996.

There are so many Buck's alot bigger than that where I hunt on my Dad's land. It's nothing for us to be sitting out having a brew or 2 and see some monsters run past or be heading down the side of his mountain in the evenings to go to the fields and eat. This will be my third season hunting and I will be Bow and Gun hunting. I am going to hunt hard from 9/30/06 until I can finally become a member of the "I Got A Big Buck Club!"
