my other half (some say better but i argue that...lol) finally went with me to my good friend's hunting cabin up northern michigan during rifle season last year. she had a blast. hiking, shooting, cookin on the wood stove. but she too has no use for bugs of any kind, so late fall early winter only time she will go to the woods. but at least its a start. i wish she would hunt and fish with me a little more. notice i said little.:mischeif:

I've been pretty busy here lately on the "boat", patched all the holes and everything, took it out tonight and it leaked, so i said screw this and am just gonna leave it sit, and got the aluminum one out and cleaned it up, gonna camo it and haul it on my new trailer, which i sanded all down tonight, still gotta take the wheels off sand and paint them then paint the trailer sand and paint the boat. Told Ya ive been busy:p I am goin fishin friday in the aluminium, me and my cousin are gonna try to catch more and bigger fish than our old men.

you know heres the good thing bout snakes...99.9% of what i see or step on are garter snakes,and they dont move when they hear or feel you comin...they just play dead i guess...but when i see a rattler ,which is very rare...or copperhead...if i do see them...they are streakin outta there in a crooked line...they run from the sound or vibrations of you walkin,i believe...so for this reason i walk hard out there to make sure if its vibration,they feel it and of course i make a good bit of noise too...black snakes i also see too mostly runnin...but i sorta wonder if i ever been struck before because i used to always wear my lacross burly knee rubber boots...and now i've been wearin lowtop ...tennies:yikes: ...i think today i'm goin back to the burlies...it seems to me there are a lot of snakes this yr...garters anyway...since thats all i have seen...:mischeif:
