That would be hard to handle. Can you imagine if it was your kid that was chased and your wife that was attacked?

Yea that really sucks for the mom and the daughter! Imagine the fear instilled in that girl of a bear chasing her down.
It sounds like the owner phoned the police right away and this was a very unfortunate accident. To me the owner should have something like a double pen.

This is just terrible.
That's 5 minutes from where I hunt.

Hope he's got good insurance.
I agree!!! :irked: He's going to need all that he can get and afterwards I'm sure his insurance company will either raise his rates or drop him. :cheeky-smiley-022:
The overhead view that they showed didn't make the "zoo" look too clean or well kept. I'm guessing that the DNR will be looking over his permits REAL close too.
Good hunting, Bowhunter57
The place looks like a trash heap.

I don't know, I look at it a little different. The guy w/ the animals isn't much different than a farmer. What if some farmer's bull got loose, could the scenero be much different. I doubt you would be able to lure him away w/ a head of cabbage like the girl did w/ the lunch meat & the bear. (Real smart thinking on her part!!!) That was a most unfortunate situation. He did what he was suppose to & even had the nerve to dispose of his own bear. I hope he had insurance too.

Civil liability is the least of this guy's worries. If the county prosecuter wants to I'm sure he could find something felonious to charge the guy with. If your pitt bull bites someone you are in more trouble then if your beagle bites someone.
