I've been trying to put my neighbor on a turkey. He has missed two chances. One "was not close eneough". The other, he "couldn't tell if it was the tom or jake" so he waited too long. On the other hand, the Morel mushrooms are every where! I only pick the small ones... I'm at the point where I don't want any more morels:dizzy:

What a coinkydink! I found a ton of morels in Belmont County and had them in deer stew for our last meal of camp. I didnt get a bird either.:irked:

I don't think I could ever get tired of Morels. If you've got too many to eat at once, you could dehydrate the rest and eat them throughout the year!

Hey Huber, do you dehydrate yours in a dehydrator or the stove? I have a dehydrator and wondered about dehydrating morels.

I went out today and no turkey, but I found my first morrel mushroom. End up with a nice batch of about 20. I can't wait to cook em up tomorrow!

I use a dehydrator. It works great but your house will smell like feet.
