I dont really think they are a waste of money...I learn alot from those mags

On the list we had to choose from I would say my favorites are, BUCKMASTERS..FIELD AND STREAM..BOWHUNTING WORLD, but there are other ones not mentioned that I also really like as well.

I didnt even subscribe to bowhunting world, i just started gettin the magazine :confused:

I've cut back, my favorite is Bowhunter. I also subscribe to, Ohio outdoor news and Ohio game and fish.

The only magazine I get is Traditional Bowhunter Magazine.

I used to get Deer and Deer hunting and Whitetail Hunting Strategies. I like both magazines alot, but never re-newed my subscription.

We have a yuppie friend in California. She thinks I'm some sort of moutain man because I like to hunt. As a joke I gave her new born son a subscription to Whitetail Hunting Strategies..... :yikes:

I like Field and Strem the best, but I also read Outdoor Life because of Jim Carmichael and Pat McManus. I used to subscribe to the written publications, but now I just subscribe to the weekly newsletters via email. Same magazine content, just online, and free. I used to like Sports Afield too, but that has gone downhill over the years.

I should check out Ohio Outdoor News and Ohio game and Fish also, just to get more informed on our state stuff.

they are both good, but I would recommend Ohio Outdoor News over Ohio Game and Fish. Very informative magaizine:)

My #1 mag' is The Varminter Hunters Magazine!:woohoo1:
After that is Small Caliber News, The Double Gun & Single Shot Journal, FF&G.
So many Mag's are soooo full of shhhhh ... er ah ... crap I can't stand 'em. Some guys I think write so you can pay for their hunting trips.:irked: The stories are the same only the names have been changed so you can't tell the difference.:16suspect1:

F&s, outdoor life, because they involve real people and real hunting. I am old school in my hunting values so a lot of the stories and situations are ones I agree with (not always :D).

Wow. Thanks for the post buckstar, forgot about this poll... never voted ...so I voted today :D

and the winner is...

I can't complain about my experiences and service from Field and Stream or Outdoorlife...I also joined the NAHC and their magazine and promos were decent too...got some decent new gear to field test and keep simply by filling out a "report card". I actually got tired of their "mass" mailings so I let membership lapse. Seriously though, they provide alot for the lifetime membership.

I don't currently subscribe to any magazines. We simply frequent our doctor's, dentist, chiropractor etc to keep up with the current issues

I will actually grab whatever is on a shelf when Im shopping with the wife etc but Bowhunter is my fav
