Any of you seen this. It was shown in one of my recent bow hunting magazines.

Is it the field tip or broadhead that make it go up off of the rest as most arrows are carbon or aluminum which wouldn't be affected by a magnet? It looks kind of cool, but I bet it's expensive. I wonder how consistent it would be?

Yeah, I saw that one a while back. Haven't heard a peep about it since from anyone who has actually used one.

$150.00 is a steep price to pay for a rest. I guess you need to have special inserts which in conjunction with the rest, cause the arrow to levitate.

Modern technology and it's effect on archery amazes me. What ever happened to shooting a bow with out a bunch of bells and whistles. These modern compounds are no different than shooting a crossbow.

yep been seeing that in alot of magazines. I think its a great idea....no friction whatsoever. I would be worried about the arrow moving though...it better be a strong magnet that holds the arrow still. Dont think Ill be getting it anyway.

I like the idea of no contact whatsoever, what I would not like is the requirement of a special insert/broadhead,collar,etc. to make the thing work.It would kinda be like needing a disc for your muzzleloader type thing.I think I'll stick to my QAD drop away.

Uhh.... Bullcrap buddy, a compound, you must still draw back, settle it, and rightly place your arrow

A crossbow, you must raise look through scope and fire.

I bet you could put one of those on a "traditional" bow as well Flaming Arrow.

Your statement about compounds an crossbows being the same is just ignorant! Are you running for UBHO president?

I have always liked the BoDoodle rest, they are adjustable and seem to have plenty of clearance and you can shoot a shorter arrow.

Things sure are getting pricy these days for as little benifit as they give.;)

Am I missing something? How does a magnet work on aluminum arrows?

Hoytme2

There is a special insert you must have in order for the magnetic fields to suspend the arrow. Of course these inserts must be purchased from the manufacturer of the rest.
