i just purchased archers advantage software and have been messing around with it some. im trying to come up with an arrow for 3D set-up so here is some questions i have.
first if there is an arrow list that seems to meet what you want as far as speed and weight in grains but the spine is not optimum would you opt for a heavier or lighter spined arrow.
also front of center what numbers am i looking for % wise target and hunting

Go with the lighter arrow if you're thinking score, bottom line ! Many recurve/ carbon shooters have added 100gr steel adapters for heavy foc ( not sure of %) and good flight! But, that may send arrow in the dirt at the 25yd+ :yikes: If score's your goal, stay light 85-100 gr tip or so....TF

I would always opt for heavier spined arrows. They will fly true every time where the lighter spined will wobble more off the string. The heavier will require better yardage estimation but practice will take care of that! This will cause inconsistant flight at different distances. As far as front of center (FOC) 10% is great! The closser you can get your set-up the better. If you are going to err, go 10%+ and no less.

Yes, the heavier arrow will require more yardage estimation that's whwhy I suggested the flatter flying, lighter arrow tuned to the bow with lighter point weight:confused: Less "estimation" all way round in my book!

ok on FOC should a hunting arrow be the same as a target arrow?
