Newly retired and looking to learn more about the outdoors here in OH. Mostly interested in Fishing for panfish. I haven't hunted in years....not since my son, then 4 yrs old asked me if that was the Easter Bunny I was skinning out behind the garage. My quick thinking told him that, "No son, this was a bad rabbit that was trying to take the EB's job away from him." Ergo no hunting for a few years. He's now 33 - think I can tell him the truth....?

Well there is good panfishing talk here, and sure to be more when the weather srtaightens out. What part of Ohio are you from?

War Eagle, I'm in Southwest Ohio. Around Troy, Oh. Decent lakes nearby are: Kiser, Indian, and St. Marys. I also have a couple of private ponds that I like to visit from time to time.

welcome always nice to have another fisherman here...especially a panfisherman...i especially like catching big fat bluegills using a very lightweight fly rod and small poppers...BUT BE WARNED before i'm done with you ...you will be hunting with a recurve bow...hope to see you a lot here,george...

Why don't you let the people know that you are a lanyard maker, and a good one at that. He has made some for predator calls and also is now making them for fishermen and fisherwomen.
