when there is a wreck/caution...and there is no pitting...is it fair to group the drivers back up...if the leader has a 1 second lead he gets penalized...i think they should put the drivers in the positions they were at ...at the correct intervals they were at when the caution occurred...they know exactly the time in seconds each driver is from the leader...i think nascar should do things thats fair to the competetors on the track...but maybe this would be less xciting than a drag race of a green white checker...:mischeif:

I like that they bunch the cars back up. It may suck if your driver is in the lead and then a caution brings the field back up to your driver, but it evens out in the end. One race your guy may benefit the next race maybe he gets shafted. I attend many races a year and it can get boring if the field gets spread out with little "racing" going on for position.

well at todays race kenseth is not my racer,i just think this is a flaw to true competition between those on the track...but i guess they know who butters their bread...:mischeif:

I didn't watch today's race so I don't know the specifics. I've watched plenty of races and I don't recall ever having a race car driver complain about such events. It makes races more interesting.

Come on George????? You ask about Nascar being fair over some silly thing like that. They been doing it that way since the way back days. I don't think the fee pass(lucky dog rule for cars a lap down) is fair. Ask ole Richard Petty or DW what they think of the free-pass, I bet if you ask them when there aint no camera or reporter around they will tell you what they really think.
Also, is it fair the Tony Stewart slammed into Kenseth at 188 mph @ Daytona(the biggest race of the year) and then as a slight retaliation, Kenseth blocked him on pit road(going 55 mph and I don't think their cars touched). Now, Stewart had to go to end of longest line, meanwhile Kenseth got blackflagged and had to come into pits and go another lap down.
Is Nascar fair? Heck no! It never has been! Again, ask any driver without a camera or a reporter around and you would be surprised at the answers you get from them good ole boys.

i would like to see more green flag pit stops. in sundays race i dont think there was any or maybe 1 green flag stops.
seems like the caution get thrown when it is ready to start the pit stops.
there hasn't been that many green flat pit stops this season so far.

I pretty much get bored watching all these cookie cutter tracks. It's not very competitive or exciting if they don't throw cautions. give me Bristol in 2 weeks and I'm happy!

I WONDER WHY THIS IS...AND IT IS SO...MAYBE BECAUSE SOMEBUDDY THROWS SOME DEBRI OUT THEIR WINDOW...OR...A TEAM MATE WHO ISNT DOING SO WELL HITS THE WALL OR SOMEBUDDY ELSE JUST TO HELP HIS TEAM MATE(S) WHO ARE IN THE HUNT BUT NEED A CAUTION...HMMM MAYBE THAT WHY ROUSH DOES SO WELL WITH SO MANY TEAM MATES...ALWAYS SEEMS LIKE ONE OF THE BACK OF THE PACKERS HAVE WRECKS AT JUST THE APPROPRIATE TIME WITH LESS THAN 10 LAPS TO GO...
