For some reason my arrows are all over the place in the air. The jerk, wobble, etc. What can I do to get better arrow flight? Thanks, Josh

I am shooting a #55lbs. bow with 28" gold tip carbon traditional hunter arrows with 125 grain tips. My draw length is 27".

Im not a traditional shooter, but I'm sure its the same principles. You probably already know these, but I'll throw them out there anyway. May not be your problem either, but ya never know.

-ANCHOR POINT: always draw back to the same spot when taking a shot.

-STANCE: Find a shooting stance comfortable to you (shoulder width feet is best) and stand that way for every shot.

-GRIP: Dont squeeze your bow grip, let it rest in your palm.

-FOLLOW THROUGH: Dont immedialtey look up after each shot, you will find yourself dropping your bow too soon and arrows will not fly to your liking.

All of these things help acheive better arrow flight. (considering your arrows are fine)

If your shooting all over the place then your being in consistent in something. It may be your anchor or you may be dropping or pulling your arm as you shoot.

If you arrows are porposising then your arrow spine might be off or you release may be sloppy.

Are you shooting 5575's or 3555's.

"you release may be sloppy."

I struggled with this for the past couple weeks but didn't know it. Wasn't sure why until I was shooting with my son a few days ago and noticed his hand flighing after the release and asked why are you doing that. His reply was because you do.:yikes: So from there on we worked on maintaining a solid anchor during the release and the result was unbelievable. This is good advice.:bouncy:

It's easy to do. Mine isn't the prettiest either. It's always good to occasionally have someone watch you shoot and let you know what your doing wrong.

Its actually a good practice technique, having someone watch you

sometimes we get in each others ear, make funny noises or whatever. helps you to shoot under pressure.

spine to heavy or to light , is left or right , knock to low or to high is up and down , arrows going all over the place dosent have to be the arrows , could most likley be a combo of many things . griping bow to tight , torking bow , probably need somebody to watch you shoot , hoot

You should be able to paper test the arrow and that will show you pretty much if it 's the arrow or the technique, at least that is how it is with the compounds but it should also carry over in the traditional I would think, if I'm wrong let me know.
