Can anyone tell me anything about a long bow with SK - 68" - 38# - 28" stamped into the riser above the grip? - the grip is wrapped with leather or plastic imitation leather and has like a felt arrow rest - it has a laminated riser and fiberglass on the front of the bow - who manufactured this bow and when? thanks

Does it look like there may be a Y missing at the end of SK?
If so it could be a SKY bow?
If so it was made by Hoyt

kinda looks like one of the ole lemmon wood bows , they usualy had a paper backing on them , looked alot like leather . but i would be a little leary shooting this one , if you string it , make sure to short draw it to start with , several shots at 15" then several shots at 20" and so on ,. alot of them dry out really bad and become brittle .. but hopefully not yours ... hoot

might want to try trad gang or stick bow...that could have been a kit bow...there was a lot around back then...it could be the initials of the maker,my hunch to is lemonwood...if you see no grain lines in the limbs its prolly lemonwood...many kit bows were made with lemonwood...handles was usually of another wood and glued on...:mischeif:

i believe those initials are those of the bowyer...in the days of the woodwn bows i think many companies had the bowyer initial them...some even signed there name...the decals with the company name may have come off,i have seen indian and york that looked like that and there was a lot of them...:mischeif:
