ok i cant see your bow...if its an old bow much care must be taken...i have a couple oldies with terrible stress lines and i shoot them with no problem...i have several bows with light stress marks with no problems...some guys have new custom bows blow up...some guys have real old bows with perfect stress free limbs blow up...i believe the heavier the poundage the more chance of a bow blowing apart...if you decide to shoot this bow, pull it back just a little at a time...1/4 draw for 10 shots, watch how the limbs bend...are they bending evenly...listen for sounds...pull back a few inches more for 10 shots or more and watch and listen...keep this up to youre at 1/2 draw...always watch and listen to what the bow is doing...keep this up to 3/4 draw...then inch it into full draw...shooting at least 10 arrows each inch...dont be ashamed to wear protective head gear of some kind...i dont but smart people would...:mischeif: OH I MUST ADD YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE A HEAVYWEIGHT ARROW FIRST...IF YOUR BOW IS 45#...AN ARROW OVER 450gr...
