Ever since I started shooting 3 months ago I've shot split finger. Last night I went to 3 under and I'm shooting 100% better. The only difference I noticed is i'm hitting a little bit lower but with practice I can get the arrows hitting where I want them. :) I can see down the arrow much better.

when i used to play alot of golf i carried two putters , for the simple reason , when one wasnt working , i would switch to the other one , not a better putter , but it felt different , and i would pay more attention to what i was doing , same goes for changing split , to 3 under , when the groups start getting bigger change back , when i change between the two , i just anchor with the other finger . and i shoot the same .. hoot

shooting 3 fingers illiminates nock pinch to and gets the arrow right under your eye...i think it makes the bow slightly noisier...just make sure your nocks are snap nocks or tight on the string...if not it can be dry fire city...:mischeif:

NW, Shot 3 under for a couple of years liked everything about it except the noise. Put Bow Hush on the recurves to quiet them down for hunting, longbows were exceptable. I gap shoot with that style I would aim a foot under @15 yds, 9"@20, 6"@25, point on@30, you could walk it out to 45 yds and know your going to hit the target. Duane

I personally feel that shooting three under is cheating. Most three under shooters shot gun or gap shoot. Those who shoot this way should just put sites on their bow and be done with it.

but you can shoot split also and shotgun or gap , nuttin wrong with gap shooting , the first one is always a guess anyway , in a hunting situation. unless you have marked the yardage. hoot

my ole lady tried a release one day,not a real xpensive one and it was just held in the hand,no wrist strap...she draws back and let the arrow fly at the target with the release trailing the arrow...boy that release went over the target and we never found it mostly because we didnt look for it very hard...she was finished with that thing...glad it was cheap...:mischeif:
