I like the glove. I just ordered a new deer skin glove from Heydeerman. I've got three Damascus gloves and they're great, but wear out quickly.

the pros that shoot fingers in comp. must have a reason for using tabs...:mischeif:

i think in quick hunting situations the glove cant be beat , but if you have all day to fumble around getting an arrow out and on the string , a tab would work , and if you use a glove , it is easier to shoot without anything . if you need to or have to . h

sometimes a tad is all it takes , i can arrow the string and draw it in one smooth motion , but i dont see how that is possable with a tab.. hoot

I have a Damascus glove and a few Deer Skin gloves that I picked up at Wal-mart a few years ago on sale for $5.00 each. I like the deer skin more because its thicker and I think the string can slide off easier that way without moving my fingers too much.

Good question, Although I will just start huntign traditional this year with the recurve my father gave me last year, I used to shoot fingers for a long time with my compound. It took me quite awhile before I switched to a release. There was always a feel I like shooting fingers, it was like things were less mechanical and more alive. Anyway, I was curious, I always shot with a glove, but was wondering about shooting with a tab. The one thing I hated about a glove is when it was cold out and I had to have the three fingers cut off of my insulated golve to accomodate the shooting glove. I assuem a tab would fix this problem but I am not so sure about how smooth the relase would be with a tab....

a tab can be used over a lightweight cotton or wool glove, not the puffy goretex kind...i use mine though with gloves with 3 fingers cut out and keep that hand in my pocket...i think a release aid would really take away that feeling of being one, hunter and bow,to me a want to be directly attached to that string...when i draw a bowstring back it will be with my boney fingers wrapped around the strands...:mischeif:

I shot a fingers compound, Hoyt Protec with LX PRO limbsto be exact, during a archery league last year with no glove or tab. It seemd my fingers could handle it without blistering. When I shoot traditonal I have found that I have better success with a tab. The gloves just don't seem to fit me right or I just never got comfortable with them.

i think its very smart for hunters to be able to shoot any bow bare fingered...even if you can only stand shooting only one arrow...hate to walk bout a mile into the woods, get all setteled in to hunt and no tab, glove or release...:yikes: ...:mischeif:
