Here is a link to the 2006 schedule for the Buckeye Crappie Challenge tournament schedule. This seems to be growing in popularity which should translate into more money.

Looks like they had some fair weather over at Indian Lake for this tourney. Yo Ray, sorry if you posted elsewhere and I missed it? :coco:
Congratulations to the winners with a nice 8 fish weight of 10.03 lbs.
Way to go guys!

Oops, I never posted the results of the other events. Oh well, the link is still active if ya want an update. The tournament at Delaware Resevoir is 6/10/06 and my uncle and I are entered so hopefully we will do well. Time to make a trip to Gander Mountain and restock my tube jigs & road runners!

Well, it wasn't our day. My uncle and I fished the Buckeye Crappie Challenge tournament at Delaware Resevoir on Saturday and we found the conditions to be tough with it being post cold-front, wind out of the north and fish not relating well to shallow structure. Our primary spot was riddled with muddy water so we went searching for better water clarity. So, around 11:30am or so we finally found some keeper crappie. We managed to salvage the day with 7 keepers which was good for 39th place out of 48 teams.
I say, not bad for our first outing.
We did talk to Matt Tuttle and his dad who won the event and they were very friendly and offered some good advice and words of encouragement. We'll get em' next time! lol
I also learned that these guys catch fish no matter the conditions, and they brought some super nice slabs to the weigh-in.
