View Full Version : Think I'm going to need some new arrows

Now that I've got my form straightened out my arrows are starting to group to the right which means they are probably underspined. I'm thinking of buying wooden arrows for my 60 pound Alpine or getting a doze GT5575's on ebay. The 5575's would be cheaper and since I'm a cheap basturd I'll probably go that way.

I'll tell you what though. My shoulders sure feel alot better now that I'm using my inner back to hold the bow back. It wasn't bad with my 50 pounder, but that 60 pounder used to kill me after a dozen arrows. Now I can shoot 30 or 40 and be good.

I find it amazing that despite how strong you and how much you work out a bow can really wear you out.:yikes: I'm thinking that as long I shoot at least every other day I'll have my back muscles built up by the end of March or April.

I know what ya mean Tf....my 50# Savannah is all I want and really works me too:yikes: My trouble is the 35-55 carbonwoods are grouping left even though it should be the right arrow! I can walk the arrows center with a bit more cant but its not my natural stle and does'nt feel comfortable. The long bow stacks up more readily than my curve plus the grip is much harder to get used to. I'm not bad at 15 but at 20 the groups sure broaden. I'll keep at it but if things don't improve, I'll have a Martin for sale....TF

You might be torquing the bow. I've had the same problem and that was the cause, or at least it was for that shooting session.....;)

Not really sure what you could get anymore ,but good luck.Check ebay that normally give you a good idea what they are going for.

uhmmmmm,

My three flethced arrows are weaker than my four fletched arrows..... I find this odd because they are both the same shaft type, length, and have identical nose wieghts.

Ummmmmm

Today my three fletched were grouping right with my four fletched. Shot a 50 cent piece group of three at 15 and 20 yards three times. The other groups were MUCH larger though.... ;)
