“Fishing Across Ohio”
Seminar speaker Gary Isbell heads the Fisheries Management and Research Group of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife. His current responsibilities include overseeing three research stations, six fish hatcheries, environmental review, and activities of fisheries biologists in the five geographical districts in Ohio. He is a 28-year veteran of the agency. In addition to his 15 years as an administrator, he has been a fish hatchery manager, research biologist, and biometrician. Isbell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science from the University of Washington and a Master’s degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University. He is a native of Oregon, Ohio, near Toledo.
