Since the arrow thread started how many of you guys hunt with your quiver on your bow and how many hunt with it off??
I hunt with it off.

On my trad bows I prefer the quiver on. The reason being is that the extra weight really helps to stablize the bow.
Now with my compound I take it off.

I dont use traditional equipment but I take mine off my compound. I take mine off for noise purposes, its one less thing to rattle when you shoot.

I'm with Tf and others....mass weight sure adds stability for me and improves my accuracy. Fact that you can reload quicker for a second shot if need be. I took a young jake this fall on the 2nd arrow and could'nt have done that if my bow quiver was laying on the ground:yikes: .....TF

No,I dont own one for my recurve, but I do on my Compound.I like to remove it when I shoot and when I get situated in my tree-stand it comes off the bow.

i like to take mine off once in a treestand so my quiver is a detach...i feel its something that thedeer might see when you move your bow...i hang my quiver in the tree where its not only faster to get another arrow but lots less movement getting ithat arrow...i do the same with my cat quiver(hang it in tree)...:mischeif:

I use a hip quiver that that I loop my waist pack through. Once I get to my stand I attach both to the tree. If the tree is small enough I put my pack around it just like it would go around my waist, if the tree is too big then I just put a hook in the tree and hang it.

I use an Alpine sof-loc quiver on my compound and it stays on.I shoot a short arrow (26") so I barely notice it's even on.

well i;d say 64" would be smooth especially if its around 45#...i personally can hardly tell the difference regarding length as being too long :mischeif: ...i use either very easy out of a tree stand...i also easily used a 68" hh longbow out of a treestand with no problems...

It depends, If Im dressed light, I like it on for stability. But if I am dressed heavily, I like to take it off.

the bungy doubles as a xtra stand strap when i'm walkin in so the stand does not rattle...i also use it on the seat section of my climber to keep it from slippin down the tree when i'm standin up...i carry at least two bungies...very handy...
