I have been wanting to build a bow of my own for some time and now I have a few pieces of wood for the riser. Just trying to figure out which one to start with..:whistle: I have a how to bood written by Tom Jennings & Doug Kittredge that I am going to try an follow. Kinda like building a bow the old fashion way. But come to think of it 1961 was concidered modern day archery:)
From the top: Cocobolo, Bocota, Bubinga, Purpleheart, CanaryWood and Curly Maple.

The bow picture in the ebay add looks very simular to the one in the book I have but I am already making my own alterations...It will not look like that..:) :whistle:

BINHAM KITS videos can show you how to build forms for wood/fiberglas laminates for t/d and 1 pc. recurves and 2 pc. and t/d longbows...they also have everything you need for the forms to build one and all the supplies to build a bow...this is how most bowyers started...:mischeif:

yup 3 rivers sells the bingham kit videos...recurves and longbows separate...they also have materials for making a bow...:mischeif:
