Bad day today

I had to put down my 10 year old lab today. It may as well have been Friday the 13th. He developed cancer that spread so quickly I cannot believe it. We hunted all day on new years eve to get our last cock bird on public land. We hunted for seven hours in mid-January looking for grouse and he was still very active. Within days he lost his appetite and today after X-rays I agreed with the Vet to put him down. Enjoy your dogs, family and friends while you can because you never know how fast it can change.

man, sorry to hear that. I remember when a beagle of ours died, it just tore me up.

We had to put our 10 year old lab down two novembers ago for the exact same reason. He had bone cancer in his front leg that spread very quickly. It makes you think twice about having pets when it hurts so bad when one passes. Just try think of all the good times you had together over the years, it helps get over the pain. You have my sympathy.
