OHANA06 begins Feb 15th

Operation Hunt Across North America 2006 (OHANA06) starts on Feburary 15th. I'll be heading down to Jasper, Florida for three days of hog hunting on the club I joined (Bear Bay Traditional Archers). Probably won't see any hogs, but regardless it'll be fun.

I'll be hunting the 16th, 17th, and 18th. The 15th and 19th are travel days.

Got my broadheads tuned and ready to go. I'll be using Wensel Woodsmans for this trip.

You can pay a guy named "Bubba" to chase hogs with his catch dogs for $200 a pop. I'm going to pass on that mainly, but I may tag along on one chase to see what it's like. I think the only way I could see hunting like that was if I was going to stab the bayed hog witha knife.

I'm not going to hire Bubba. I can't even afford to go on this trip. To be honest the main reason I'm going is to pull my tree stand. I doubt if I join again next year, but the following year I may. It really depends on how this trip goes. I'd just like to see a few hogs. I'm really not to worried if I get one or not.
