Havent heard anything about Saugeye but I have been wondering about Salt Fork fishing conditions in general after the stupid draw down this summer. I can only hope the fishing comes back to what it was before. The Salt is my favorite local lake to fish and it would be a shame if the rumor I heard was true that the DNR drained the lake for nothing:mad:

they didnt drain the lake completely, they just let it down some to study the dam

Talking to the DNR about the lake and they intend to refill the lake by march. I'm having a catfish get together out there in may.

Yea, I should have been more clear. I know they didnt completely drain it, but it was mighty low. How do you guys think the fishing will be this year?? I fish for anything that swims and Salt Fork is a good lake to do that on. It holds just about any kind of fish you can catch in Ohio, ( with the exception of trout I guess).

I stop at a little place called Bakers Amo Barn. It is a cool place. I think its on the road to morning glory boat ramp, I will look up the # tommorow at work. I have their card on my cube wall.

Put pontoon in water yest. and fished a couple hours ,3 grand kids and myself, caught 8 crappies on small side. 6-8 bluegills, 2 bass, was really windy, had a problem holding pontoon.am going to try again over the weekend..The lake is at normal pool level.

Fish for the relaxation, consider catching a bonus, and you won't be dissapointed on any fishing trip.. Roy
