I passed another doe up tonight. I could have shot her two seperate times and she feed under my stand for 20 minutes. There were a bunch of deer in the woods behind her so I figured I'd hold out and see if there was a descent buck amongst them.

That's two doe I've passed on this same stand. Saturday is the next chance I have to hunt it. I don't plan on being so merciful .....;)

well, if she gives ya another chance she is meant to die. I'd say just about any deer that walks under your stand is fixin to die anyway;) :D :D

Check this out.

I got out of my stand and didn't realize that one of the deer was still with in view of my stand site. She took off, but only for ten yards or so and stopped. As I left the area I could hear her and the other deer moving closer. It was almost like they were checking me out because the didn't know what I was. It was dark so mabye that worked in my favor.

To be honest I didn't really feel like dragging one out of the woods, then gutting it, and skinning it. Tomorrow I would have to deal with getting it to the processor during my lunch break too.

I'm going through LEAN and Six Sigma green belt training (not marital arts)at the local community college so I've had a busy schedule for the last two weeks.

If they keep the same pattern they've kept for the last three hunts then Saturday is going to be a "bad" day for them....;)

This is assuming I don't have any other hunters (aka: tresspassers since I'm the only one allowed to hunt here) try and sneak into my area.
