For the rest of the country, as much as I would like to agree with the NRA that hunting is a God-given right, I know it is not. Hunting is a privilege that can be taken away just as fast as we can vote. This leads me to the topic of this article: Quality Deer Management.

i disagree with the above-I think animals are on this land b/c god put them here....for FOOD. even if my PRIVILEGE was taken away i would still hunt and i would hunt and hunt and hunt even if i did jail time or was fined out the wazoo.
This guy gave all kinds of things that are bad about QDM, I think that there will be no woods to hunt except public land. with people select cutting and clearcuting all the forest where will there be to hunt if we do have the PRIVILEGE??? every year i see more and more land clear cutted. I feel that i will be telling stories to my grand children about how i used to HUNT and they will have NO Idea what im talking about.
One day we will have to pay to go to a ranch TO have a place to hunt, b/c the public lands will be so packed they will put a cap on the # of hunters allowed!!

He says that only people with leases will be able to hunt someday. I highly doubt that small percentage of leasers out of the 10% of people that hunt in the U.S. would be able to lease out all of the huntable land.
