Went out the new dogs today

I picked up two beagles over the weekend and was out in the snow today, they kicked up 3 at the first spot and the older one ran them around while the pup was bouncing back and forth between me and the running hound lol, got to love pups, she probably put 5 miles on her legs today with all of her back and forth, she finally settled down and actually ran one for about 5 minutes then lost it and came back. I took a shot at one and missed it, but they ran it around none the less. Went to a second spot which is a much smaller woods and just let the pup run and she busted one right off the bat and brought it around, but once the rabbit got into the oppening it was taking about 8 foot leaps and the pup had trouble with that, I left the gun in the truck and but could of drooped that one since it only was 5 feet from me while it went by lol. all and all was happy with their performance and will back back out tommorrow just might take the pup with me though just to keep her going. Will post results after I get back. I'll try to remember the camera and get some pictures. "J"

There is nothing more rewarding than running dogs.

The guys I rabbit hunt with are semi-retired and run the dogs. They like taking young hunters and other people who don't have dogs to introduce them to the sport, but also, they don't shoot anymore, they just enjoy being out with the dogs.

I can't wait to be semi-retired and full time running beagles. I went out the last two days with the gun and took 3 rabbits and those are the one that got close enough to get a good shot at. Having allot of fun though. Thanks "J"
